Each year, as well as running its own major concerts, the Philharmonic takes part in concerts and in events organized by other groups and in additional concerts that are not part of the annual subscription series.

THE ROYAL MELBOURNE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA TOUR OF CHINA - December 2007 - January 2008
The full RMP Orchestra of 86 members and pianist Jonathan Bradley toured China in December 2007 to January 2008 performing in 19 Cities to a total audinece of about 30,000 in that country's most prestigeous concert venues. This tour was the initiave of the Chinese Tourist authority and is believed to be the first such arts tour funded entirely from that environment.
THE RMP ARIA FINALS CONCERT

Hear six of Australia's finest emerging young singers compete in the final of Australia's neest singing competition performing great recitatives and arias frmo the world of oratorio.
The comptitors will be accompanied by Jonathan Bradley (Pianoforte) with a guest performance by the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Choir.
