Concert Season 2012....

The Royal Melbourne Philharmonic continues the tradition of presenting fine musical entertainment.

CONCERTS ONE TO FOUR

The RMP will be touring an a capella concert to Regional Victoria
The program will include Tchaikovsky's 'Liturgy of St John Chrysostom' Christopher WillcockSJ: 'Anastasis' and a commissioned work by Stefan Cassomenos.

CONCERT SIX

EVENT ONE: Open Rehearsal, Choral Workshop and evening performance - Faure Requiem
Open rehearsal and choral workshop for choristers of all ages. Admission includes all music, afternoon tea, a three-hour choral workshop and rehearsal, and entry to the RMP Aria Final in the evening, where the workshop members will present a full-scale performance of the Faure Requiem accompanied by the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra amd Soloists.

EVENT TWO: 2012 RMP Aria Final & Faure Requiem
Seven of Australia's finest young singers battle it out for the 2012 RMP Aria title. Thousands of dollars of cash prizes, language coaching scholarships and future contracts with the RMP on offer. Expect to hear some of the most glorious arias and recitatives ever composed. Chief Adjudicator Andrew Wailes will head a panel of three expert judges.
Aria Final Accompanist: Stefan Cassomenos
A full performance of the Faure Requiem will follow the Aria Competition.

Tickets to the Workshop and the Aria Final include a free Champagne supper at the conclusion of the evening.
Entrants for the Aria should email rmp@rmp.org.au for application forms. Seven will be selected for the Final.
